Children's Museum

With Noah's preschool schedule it is hard to do some of the fun kid activities that we used to. Last week he was off for the Thanksgiving holiday so we went to the Children's Museum. We hadn't been since Celia was a tiny babe so it was fun to get back there. I left my camera in the locker accidentally but was able to catch a few shots with my phone.
Here's our firefighter with a park ranger hat. :) Those boots were adult size and up to his thighs but he could still walk around in them.
Celia was so happy to play in the baby area.
Feather painting.
Boat races.

Thankful

We have kept up our tradition of saying what we are thankful each night at dinner. Here are some of my favorites from the month:
Mom:
sunshine
Noah's school
dinner out with friends
salon appointments
backyard
Dad:
weekend family time
Mom
Noah's teachers
our country
our family
Noah P:
playing at the park with Eva & Stella
Dad took me swimming
Ella (our new neighbor)
my family
Micah
my family
that Hallie came
Micah:
Dad came home
candy
Mari (our mother's helper. I promise that mom is most thankful for Mari.)
staying up from nap
Noah
Mom & Dad
Grandpa

No question I am MOST thankful for this terrific guy...
and these precious nuggets. I am blessed indeed.

Good night

Noah is sleeping in this tent tonight and he informed me that he is Buzz Lightyear both today and tomorrow. Night night Buzz. :)

Dentist

Another thumbs up from the dentist. This time Micah was in the chair too. The glasses were killing me. I missed the shot of Noah in them but actually think they are better suited for Micah's personality anyway.

Mail

I was busy with something today and Noah kept interrupting me so I told him he may be interested to look at a toy catalog that came in the mail. "Mom, this magazine only has dolls and babies in it. Nothing I like." Then he tossed it on the counter. It was the American Girl catalog.

8 months

Sweet Celia turned 8 months old. She is now crawling, pulling to a stand and babbling away. She is a pretty great girl.

Micah Says

Last night Shawn gave Micah a bath.
M: "I want to stay in the tub for a long time."
Shawn: "You have already been in for a long time."
M: "I want to stay in for three days."
For the record we did not honor this request.

Micah wore a sweater this weekend and it was nice enough that no coat was needed. He had it on again today and when we went to head out the door to music this was the dialogue:
Mom: "You need to get your coat on."
M: "My sweater keeps me warm."
Mom: "It is too cold, you need to wear your coat today."
M: "Dad told me my sweater will keep me warm."
This kid worships his dad so it was no easy task to convince him otherwise.

Lately. My friend with kids similar in age to ours calls the younger "me too" and Micah fits that to a T when it comes to copying everything his big brother does and says. The good news is that he adds his own flourish.
N: "Mom, do you know how much I love you?"
Me: "How much?"
N: "All the way to Antarctica and back."
Me: "Wow, that is a lot."
M: "Mom, do you know how much I love you?"
Me: "How much?"
M: "All the way to Wood River."
Me: "That is a lot too."
