On Saturday we went to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul. It is donation only and a really fabulous spot for families - minus the smokers who insist on lighting up among the thousands of kids while strolling by the no smoking signs, argh. It was a cool morning so we had high hopes that the animals would be out and active and they were. Noah wanted to see the tiger first. We saw all the cats, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, a sea lion show, primates (Micah loves monkeys) and then it started to rain so we headed in for some lunch.
Here is a photo of the boys looking at the tiger.
We also did a quick tour of the fern and sunken gardens while Shawn went to get the car. Noah enjoyed checking out the koi pond and I loved taking in the smells and beauty of the flowers. Really this place is amazing, especially during our too long Minnesota winters.
I admire how you really get out and find enriching experiences for the whole family Shawna. I'm sure the boys are learning so much! They will have such great memories of all of the adventures too. My fave of this series is Micah entering the tunnel--cute :)
