Asking once

I've been reading a book about the development of 5 year olds. One of the common characteristics is the desire to please his mother. Tonight Noah fit this to a T. I asked if he and Micah could go up and get their jammies on. I went upstairs a few minutes later and sure enough they had done it. Truly a miracle as most nights I don't dare to count the number of times we have to tell them to get upstairs alone. Anyhow, I made a HUGE deal out of it and while giving Noah a hug he said, "Mom, I saw you had tears of joy." Ha! Not really but on some nights that would have brought them. Let's make it two nights in a row. :)
