This summer I enrolled Noah and Micah in a program held at the park one street over from us. The location is perfect, we go out our back door cut through our neighbors yard and we are there. The program is run through our city park and rec office. College and high school students are the leaders. Most kids are from the neighborhood but parents drive their children from all over the city. Noah's program met on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-4pm and Micah's on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30am. It runs for 8 weeks and is really inexpensive. I have never been so happy with anything I have signed my kids up for!!! The boys could not wait to go each time. It is good old fashioned summer fun. Games, sports, crafts, water, etc. Noah learned how to play four square and everlasting dodgeball was a favorite of his. Each year the fire department brings a truck to the park and sprays the kids with water. The program goes up until 10 years old, you can bet I've already got the sign up date for next year on my calendar.
