Girl Stuff

The ruffle cardi, jeggings, cute red socks with bow. This outfit alone makes having a girl pretty darn fun!

Realtors

Noah is not a fan of strangers coming to our house so having our house for sell was a struggle for him at times. He hasn't really warmed up to our realtor either. Anyhow, we have been to visit the house we are hoping to buy twice now. The owner, Art, is a really nice man that has been the swim coach at a local high school for 55 years. He and Noah won each other over on our first trip. Art and Noah play with the laundry shoot and these cool old toys that were likely his own kids. Art also has a girlfriend named Carol. At dinner after the second visit Noah said he especially liked Carol...and Art. "They are my favorite realtors." It is no easy feat to win Noah over but they have done it for certain.

Negotiations

Micah has really had me laughing lately. Here is our conversation prior to yesterday's nap.

M: "Need kefir."
Me: "We aren't going to have kefir right now, it is nap time."
M: "How bout milk?"
Me: "We aren't going to have milk right now, it is nap time."
M: "How bout water?"
Me: "Okay, you can have some water." Laughing all the while.

This same conversation also happened just before bedtime.

Sold

We finished the offer negotiations two weeks ago and our inspection last week but this sign going up yesterday really made it feel official.

Now we just need to find somewhere to move. Seriously! We have found two houses that we want and both were for sale by owner. The first one didn't work out and I'm really hoping this second one does. I've decided that for sale by owner sounds good in theory but really stinks.

Easter

Serious egg dying in progress.

Celia spent the time snoozing.

Micah Is Two

Happy Birthday to Micah!

Hard to believe it has already been two years since this little love joined our family. Shawn always says he has spirit and boy is he right. He certainly fills our days with a lot of energy and fun. Love, love, love him to pieces.

All he wanted was a lollipop cake and was very satisfied with the results. I got a lollipop for each of the big kids, unfortunately we realized one of the lollipops was shattered inside the wrapper so we decided to keep them wrapped.

Micah reveled in the attention of us singing to him. He also said during dinner, "I want the birthday cake." We all laughed and that led to him repeating it over and over. This kid knows how to go for a laugh. We may have a future class clown on our hands.
Monkey masks.
A new bike helmet and balance bike.

Opening presents.
This picture really cracks me up. He has all of the presents he just opened with him: the hat, golf club and baby with stroller.
The party crew.
Our friends, the Bentley's, recently moved from across the street and we sure do miss them. They have three girls and our kids are stair stepped in age: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and 0.
Grandpa Dennis & Grandma Jane were here to celebrate.

I'm thrilled to see Celia is already taking after her brothers fondness for picture taking.

Visitors

Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Jane came to meet Celia last week. I think both are smitten. It was great to have them here.

One Month Old

Yesterday we started Celia's bear photos because she is one month old. How did that happen so fast?! Every month for her first year we will take her picture (like we did for her brothers) and watch her grow. It is a little harder now to work for the perfect shot as I have two wild animals...I mean boys, trying to jump in the chair as I attempt to balance baby just so.

As you can see she absolutely chunkalicious already.

Trees

Unfortunately we have had a lot of tree work at our house. Last year we had a very large diseased tree removed. Yesterday the stump was removed. As always those tree guys kept my guys enthralled. Our neighbor, Joy, was over again to take in the action - and give the kids some attention.

Today I attempted to take some photos of Celia in hopes that one would work for a birth announcement. I didn't make any progress on that front but I do love these two shots.

Attachment

Celia approves of her baby carrier. I decided to get the Ergo and so far, so good. She took a nice little nap snuggled up to mom.
