Micah's birthday

Micah turned 6!  Noah and Celia, with a little help from Dad, created a surprise present for Micah.  They used large pieces of cardboard to construct a tank and painted it.  They made a door for him to
get in, a hatch on top that he can look out of and of course a gun coming out the front. Pretty good work and a super happy birthday boy!

Micah had a friend party at the Minnesota Air National Guard Museum.  It was a perfect fit for this kiddo.
We had a Korean War pilot that served as our guide. He even let the kids try on one of his old flight helmets. The kids got to climb aboard helicopters, several airplanes and a flight simulator. Special guests included Great Aunt Mary Frances and Great Aunt Judy as well as Grandma Jane and Grandpa Dennis. Friends Gio, Henry, John and Matthew celebrated with Micah.

Micah has a deep interest in history. He prefers to read non fiction books or historically based fiction. In particular he has a real interest in the military and military history.  Micah likes art and doing art projects. He combines these 2 interests and creates many drawings with stories to go along with them. In fact, he wants to be a author/illustrator when he is older. Micah spends a lot of his time outside "exploring" always on the hunt for artifacts. He does not have much interest in sports but wants to give soccer and baseball a try this year.

Aunt Judy

Bless Great Aunt Judy's heart, she read and read and read some more to the kids - especially Celia.  I thought these photos were so sweet.  Thank you for coming to visit us.  xoxo

First Communion

Noah had his First Communion and we are so proud of him.  He read the second reading and was incredibly poised, smiled, spoke clearly and loudly.  Honestly couldn't have done a better job.  As his mother, I sat in awe at this big kid of ours.  How did that happen so fast?!  Great Aunts Judy and Mary Frances came to help celebrate. We enjoyed having them here.   Each child made a banner and decorated it to tell about them.  Noah included a soccer ball, football, basketball, baseball and a cross with a heart.  Whew, glad we got the cross in there. ;)

Celia says

Whenever talking about a hair do Celia says, "hair dude."

"Mom, I like your hair dude."

Dying the eggs.

Annual egg hunt.  Shawn hides the eggs after church then the hunt begins.  We were happy not to be searching in snow this year.

Spring Break

We went to Austin for Spring break and had such a good time.  It was a trip where everything just seemed to click.  The kids traveled well, ate well, slept well.  Shawn and I could enjoy the trip too. Ha!  The weather was perfection and so was the company.  We were able to spend quality time with the Roberts and the Crusers, families we adore and get to see far too little of.  My dear friend, Brennan Cruser's dad offered for us to stay at his home and it provided the ideal setting and location to relax and enjoy.  We all devoured tasty TexMex that Shawn and I had been sorely missing.  Micah and Celia learned about avoiding fire ants; unfortunately, Noah learned that lesson the hard way on a previous visit.  Some days were filled with fun outings and other lounging by Deanna and Paul's neighborhood pool.  Our kids gave it their highest rating - two thumbs up and two big toes.

Deanna, Molly, John and Sam went with us to Sea World.  A highlight of the trip for sure.  At the end of the day we sat in the "splash zone" for the kids and what are the odds...not a drop of water.
The kids collected rocks along the trip.  Micah was adamant about taking this one home but we convinced him to leave it for Mr. Collins as a thank you for his hospitality.
The Wagoner kiddos give the trip two thumbs up and two big toes.
