Milford stop

We made a quick lunch stop in Milford on our way home from Wood River to see Uncle Tyler.  He really is pretty super. :)

A day at the beach

Shawn and I took the kids to the beach one afternoon.  It was a delightful afternoon, until the end when everyone was too too tired.  I didn't get any shots of Noah because he was busy working on his swimming.  Celia was fascinated by the ducks walking around and wanted to chase them.  

Cousins

At the end of July we went to Nebraska for a visit.  As we were driving south through Iowa Noah said, "This looks SO different from where we live."  Shawn and I smiled at each other and agreed.  Yep, very different.  Our kids are growing up as city kids.  The rural fresh air and freedom sure is good for them.  They love every minute.  Here are a few pictures from our stop in Council Bluffs.  We were able to see Aunt Kristen, Mallori, Julia, Brooklynn, Hallie plus Aunt Deanna, Molly and Johnny were there too.

Lately

Play date for C

I sometimes feel guilty that Noah has had countless play dates and friends he has known since we moved to Minneapolis when he was 5 months old and Micah and Celia...well, they get to hang out with my friend's kids, their age or not or tag along on Noah's play dates.  I'm lucky that one of my friends has a son that is very close in age to Celia.  Hopefully they will be good buds. :)

The facts

Me: "Micah, how did you pee all over the floor?"
Micah didn't answer but Noah piped in: "Mom, you know sometimes your penis moves and you don't notice and you just pee on the floor.  That is what happened to Micah."

Well, that IS a reason.  ;)

Rolling

All three rolling down a big hill at the park near our house.  It was fun until later that afternoon when Noah realized he was covered in bites.

Siblings 101

There will be injuries.

Yesterday Noah pulled Micah's elbow out of socket while fighting over a yellow race car.  It was definitely painful for him but amazing how the recovery was instant as soon as the pediatrician popped it back into place.  Those darn race cars from Grandma's Cheerios box are a hot commodity around here.

Stairstep

A dumpster gets delivered to our house.  I have enjoyed this portion of our garage floor repair much more than the all day jackhammer.
