4th of July

We celebrated Independence Day by watching the local parade, enjoying a relaxed dinner, play time and snaps with friends.  It must have been too hot to take photos because I don't have much.  

 Micah was so excited.  He waved nearly the entire time.  

Lake life

Our friends invited us for a fun filled day at the lake.  Noah couldn't get enough of jumping off the diving dock and practicing his swimming skills (with a life jacket of course).  Micah and Celia enjoyed the day too, they are more fearless in the water than I would like.  Thank you Cooley family for a great day.

Bunk beds?

Noah and Micah really want bunk beds.  We will probably get one someday but for now they improvised with this chair.  In this version Micah gets the top bunk.  Celia, of course, had to get in too.

Argh

A local toy store held a pirate story time and treasure hunt.  Our kids were sure to get in on the fun.  Of course they had to arrive in costume.  It is hard to tell from the photo but Shawn and Noah worked on Noah's all morning.  It was a hit.  :)

At the car wash

One of our summer list activities and boy was it necessary.  It has been unseasonably hot here.  To the point where I was wondering how we compared with Texas.  Our bodies are not used to to it.  Anyhow a car wash came just in time.  We didn't focus on perfection but our license plate sure came close.

Pirates have been taking over our house.
