Last week I was feeling overwhelmed. I was trying to settle Celia down about something and the boys were acting wild. I handed them both a water and bag of pita chips and sent them to the patio for snack time. A minute or so later I looked out and they sat side by side with the pita chips between them so sweetly. Micah kept asking Noah questions. I love, love these moments when they don't know I'm watching and I get a peek into their world without me.

Summer scenes
We are having a great summer so far. Noah has been out of school since May 10th so we are fully settled in at this point. I decided to sign my kids up for absolutely nothing all summer (other than tball) so our days are flexible and pretty low key. We have spent most in the backyard, on neighborhood walks/rides, play dates with friends, hitting up our local parks and working through our summer list activities.
Rainy day library time.

Tball
Noah started Tball last week. This is his first year to play and he is off to a great start. I think he will really enjoy it.
The coach handed out tshirts and Noah got "dad's number" from high school. He thought that was neat, and in Wood River colors to boot. :)
Micah likes trying out all the gear.

Work
Noah had a playdate with a friend today and this evening got into a conversation with Shawn and I about it. He proceded to tell us about what his friend's dad does for work. Shawn asked, "What do you say about what I do for work?" Noah replied, "I say, you pay bills." That's right buddy. Ha!

Go Twins!
My friend Julie, who I adore for many reasons, but especially because she has two boys similar in age to mine and really gets the brothers/boy thing and my life in general, called at the 11th hour to ask us to go to a Twins game. The seats were in a box. Well, that is the way to kick off our start to pro baseball games. :) So we went and had a great time. The Twins beat the Oakland A's 2-0. As with most outings we stayed a hair too long and were stressing about the traffic getting out but who knew that the tickets also came with a special parking garage that was super speedy. I may never get the cheat seats again! :) Thank you to the Deitlin's for a fabulous afternoon.
The boys.
Micah was surprisingly into the game.
The crew on the way out of the game.
Noah and Jack holding hands on the way out of the stadium. So sweet.

Tidy
N: "Mom, do you see how I cleaned up my room."
Me: "Wow Noah, it looks great in here. Thank you."
N: "I shoved it all under my bed."
Me: Momentarily speechless. "Oh, well that isn't really cleaning it up."
N: Now speechless but clearly pleased enough with the results not to care.
Moving on.

Say Cheese
Three kids in one photo is easy. Getting all three to smile or something close to it is impossible but pretty funny.
