I am super behind on what we've been up to so I'll try to catch up. My BFF, Brennan, and her family came to visit us on their way to a family reunion in Wisconsin. We were SO happy to see them and have to give her husband, Kevin, major props for driving them here from Austin, TX. Bren and Kevin are Micah's godparents and we are godparents to their kids, Collin and Liam. Noah and Collin hit it off immediately whenever they are together. Being with them reminds me just how much I miss that awesome chica- another reason to plan a visit to Austin...in the fall.

Haircuts
Shortly after I had Celia a friend told me about her hair stylist who does house calls. Sign me up please! Yesterday she came over to do my hair and give the boys a summer cut. My girlfriend, Jenny, and her daughter Syliva came too. We let the kids watch shows during their cuts and rewarded them with lollipops just like the kid salon. After all was said and done I am left debating the benefits of at home saloning because despite trying to stay on top of the hair it went everywhere. What a mess.

If only
I had a dollar for every time that someone says, "You have your hands full" or "Wow, your mommy is busy." I'd be on my way to fine living.

Sanity saver
Micah has been challenging our parenting muscles for several months now but the last few weeks have been some doozies. I find myself saying the serenity prayer and singing "Kumbayah" over and over. I say them not to be reverent but to get myself to lighten up. Funny enough, Micah loves that song and requests it. Every time I sing it I can't help but crack up so it is the perfect ointment for what is going on in this crazy household. We need all the laughs we can get.

Soccer hijinks
Thankfully we have only one soccer game left for the spring season. Then we are taking a long hiatus, at least a year. The games are at 5:15pm, which is a really hard time and with three kids and Shawn attending about half the games it is too much for this mom to juggle.
Unfortunately Micah decided he wanted to run into the parking lot during Thursdays game. I was chasing after him with Celia in hand and I was not amused. I threatened, "Do you want to go sit in the van?" and he replied, "Yes!." Oops, that blew up in my face. :) The latter half of the game he was better behaved climbing in and out of Celia's carseat that was in the stroller. Not the most steady or easiest thing for him to be getting into which is why he loved every minute of it.
These photos are SO Micah. I am constantly wondering how Shawn and I ended up with such a stinkeroo. Good thing we love that stinkeroo so darn much.

Church Songs
One night last week Shawn and I were getting Micah ready for bed. Micah was signing a song and we couldn't figure out what it was then Shawn said, "Take and drink?" Sure enough, that is what he was singing. Just when I thought he was paying no attention in church, we got a good laugh out of that.
