Blue Footed Booby

Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Jane got Noah a subscription to Your Big Backyard. The magazine is about animals and nature. Today he got a new issue and after reading it cover to cover he wanted to do the art project inside - making blue footed booby feet. He colored paper blue then practiced his scissor skills (which is preK teacher said he could use) to cut them out. Here he is modeling the webbed feet. We finished up the project with a four step "dance" the bird does.

Legos

Micah has just started making his own Lego creations and I am so happy about it. It keeps both boys occupied which means less fighting.

This morning I was in the living room and heard Noah say "Good teamwork." Then they both came out to show me that they had worked together to make an ambulance.

Rain Gear

The weather in Minne has warmed up and that means the snow is melting. Woohoo. That also means that it is a wet, dirty mess everywhere. We decided rain gear was an essential St. Patrick's Day present. Shawn researched the perfect coats and boots for the boys and they could not be cuter in them. Dinos for Noah and tractors for Micah.

Celia has been the perfect newborn, eating and sleeping the days away.

First Bath

We threw out our baby tub when Micah was done with it and have yet to buy another, so Celia's first bath was more of a sponge bath but she was sure not happy about it.

Homecoming

While uploading the new photos of Celia I thought about bringing the boys home. I was sure that they had all come home in the same hat and striped outfits. I'm funny that way, I also have worn the same red pjs in the hospital all three times. Turns out that the hat that Celia and Micah came home in was given to Noah by Shawn's cousin, Katy, after he was born so he wore another home. Anyhow, it was fun to see how similar they all look.

It's a girl!

We were thrilled to welcome Celia Grace to the world on Saturday morning. After two boys I envisioned another boy joining our family. To our surprise that was not to be, especially for her dad. Shawn was dumbfounded when the doctor asked him the gender. We couldn't be happier to have this sweet little girl in our lives and are simply overflowing with love.

Born at 6:19am 7lb 6oz 20in.

Celia's brothers were excited to meet her. They came a few hours after she was born and showered her with hugs and kisses.

Naps

Noah had given up taking naps most days until about 2 weeks ago. I told him that he should take a nap on the days Grandpa Dennis was visiting so he could stay up later and spend time with him. He did and the advice has stuck with him. Now he wants to nap everyday so that he gets to play with Shawn for longer at night. Really it is cute and overall he is in a much better mood come late afternoon. It is a little hard to adjust to a later bedtime for him though. At this stage of my pregnancy, I am SO happy to have all three of us snoozing away in the afternoon. Thank goodness for naps.
